    RIP Dean Jones

Anybody who ever watched The Wonderful World Of Disney should know Dean Jones. The handsome yet affable actor who seemed tailor made for Disney movies. We lost Dean Jones at 84 from Parkinson's disease.

I remember him most as Jim Dougles. The down and out race car driver who a Volkswagen beetle with a mind of his own takes a liking to. Herbie, The Love Bug, of course. Dean ended up keeping one of the Herbies.

He was an all around good guy from most reports and I am sad to see him go.

Sad! Perfect Disney actor, That Darn Cat, The Love Bug, Shaggy DA...

I always thought Dean would have made a good Reed Richards if a Fantastic 4 movie had been possible in 60s/70s! What if Disney bought Marvel back then!

He was a mainstay in films I watched as a kid. Especially loved Herbie and the Shaggy D.A.

And yes, he would have made a great Reed Richards! Good call ovenmitt!

      RIP.

Thanks, Chris! And I always saw Dick Van Dyke and Mary Tyler Moore as Elongated Man Ralph and Sue Dibney!

RIP. My son "discovered" the Herbie the Love Bug movies this year and this past spring I bought him the 4 pack of DVDs. Always fun to watch one of his movies.
            It's all good!

One of my favorite Disney stars, he just seemed like a nice guy you'd want to hang around with. The Love Bug was the best, but I always liked Snowball Express where he buys the decrepit ski lodge.
I wish Disney still made stuff like that, instead of all the smart- Alec kid shows they pump out.
