    Adventure from Beyond the Stars

There aren't many better ways to spend an afternoon in 1980 than acting out a "Buck Rogers on Tatooine" storyline.

    So beautiful. So, so beautiful.

I want wallpaper that has those gleaming stars on them.

I loved the Buck Rogers show and had many of the toys back then. In some weird way, I think I'm even a bit more fond of it than Star Wars itself. It's so cheesy and specifically dated to that one period in time, whereas Star Wars has always been this ongoing, oppressively huge multi-media franchise.

I loved Buck because the show never took itself too seriously

Unlike a lot of Sci Fi Buck is FUN to watch

Completely agree. I always had a preference for that kind of stuff. I think the ultimate expression of this aesthetic might have been Ice Pirates, which I loved so much when it came out that I went to see it a second time, even though the only theater I could find playing it was kind of gross. I don't think there was much of a chance for a toy line with that one, though... "NEW FOR '84 - SPACE HERPES!"

Yeah, Buck Rogers was cheesy fun.

This would be a great poster for the toy room.
