    Black Nightshade berries

Have you ever eaten black nightshade berries? What do you think of them?
I had a bunch of them sprout in my garden and thought they were some Thai peppers that I threw out there to try and grow. Well, I've never tried them before, and lots of people think they are poisonous. They are little purple berries and they taste like tomatillos. I'm going to put them in some salsa, because I can't think of anything else they would taste good with.

I never heard them call that so I had to do a search. My grandma grew them in Western Kansas and called the huckle berries. She always warned us not to eat the leaves for they were poisonous. They aren't bad from what I remember of them since it has been over thirty years since I last had any. She also used to mix them with in her rhubarb pies when she had enough. My mom don't like them because she ate too many while growing up and got sick.

I think all nightshade plant's leaves are poisonous - even the common tomato leaf
