    scooby doo and KISS

KISS is in a new scooby doo movie. I have to see this. I have already reserved my copy. Is anybody else looking forward to watching this? Has anybody seen this?

Hey, they met WWE stars, so why not? Nothing KISS does to make money surprises me after they came out with the coffin.

This is actually the second time they've met. There was a What's New Scooby Doo episode where they were featured. They sang shout it out loud, which became my (then) 5 year old's favorite. So I picked up the blu ray today for her.

That miserly Don Knotts and shamefully money-hungry Sandy Duncan are just as naughty!

I felt the same way when my kid begged for the Scooby-Doo Meets Jonathan Winters DVD!

Just kidding... I don't really have a kid.

OR a lack of interest in Jonathan Winters.

I finally got around to watching this tonight.

It was EPIC! I'm not a huge KISS fan, but I was shocked to see the heavy Jack Kirby influence. For those of you saying you'd like to see Jack's imagery brought to life, this comes pretty close. Very cosmic stuff. Now if only Marvel Studios could do this kind of thing live action.

A very fun cartoon. My 12 year old loved it.

That's one I may actually have to pick up. Scooby Doo just isn't the same since we lost Casey Kasem's Shaggy and Don Messick's Scooby, but this looks like it might be fairly entertaining. I think my favorite scene was when Scooby licked The Demon and The Demon licked him right back....
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

Just picked this up at the library yesterday.

Did Gene Simmons do the voicework on his character, The Demon? I've been listening to Gene Simmons' speaking voice for several decades, and in this cartoon movie, it doesn't sound a thing like him. The credits say "Gene Simmons as the Demon" but I really have my doubts.

His character comes off as a surly jerk, while Paul's Starchild character comes off as far more approachable and friendly, even if he was wearing a guy-version of a sports bra!

I loved the parodies of Kiss merchandise in the movie. Seems a bit too realistic, as the real-life Kiss merchandising machine doesn't overlook *ANY* moneymaking possibilities. I'm really surprised that they put the merchandising jokes in as it hits really close to home.

So was Cass Eliot, Sony and Cher, and Don Knotts as I recall. You wanna see something really trippy?, look for Cass Eliot on HR PuffnStuf

Also I noticed that all of the classic Kiss songs are re-recordings. I guess that either they couldn't get the rights to use the original recordings, or they wanted to give the fans new re-creations of old hits.
