Cage is awful, and the color/finish of the suit is is awful, but the engineering of the suit is impressive IMO.

I've always been perplexed at how much attention the industry gave to Cage as a candidate for these heroes. I know he was a big comic book nerd, and maybe that brief run of unrelated movie hits put him on a few short lists because he was a star, but I just never saw anything in his presence that suggested a lead role of this kind. And before I hear a slew of Michael Keaton responses, I too felt that way about him playing Batman until I saw Clean and Sober. At that point, I knew WB had something there. Keaton could handle a serious part, plus he had that intensity in his eyes. So he was able to translate over. I've never seen anything Cage did that would make me think he could capture something as strong as Superman. And this footage only supports that idea.Comment
