What classic cartoon was this from ?

Ever think of a scene from some movie or TV show but not remember where it came from ?

I have one that's been bugging me all morning.

It was a cartoon (not sure if it was Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry etc)

The main antagonist wanted to eat his smaller rival.

Somehow he makes his rival very sleepy and the smaller rival see's two pieces of bread as a bed and climbs in to sleep.

The main antagonist is then ready to eat his sandwich (contain his rival) when suddenly he's struck with a moment of empathy and say's, I can't do it.

Can anybody tell me what cartoon this is from?

Ha! I definitely remember this too but can't remember who it was. I want to say Tom and Jerry though.

Sylvester and Tweety played "the sandwich game", but Sylvester didn't have a sudden pang of empathy. He bit down hard on the sandwich, barely missing Tweety.

Yeah, the only time I remember cats feeling remorseful about it was in "Birds Anonymous" with Sylvester and Tweety.

Nope none of the above. but thanks guys

              I asked a buddy and he thinks it's from a once-off cartoon.

He couldn't give me a title but he said it was a Hawk who grew up with some sort of smaller bird family.

He also said he remembers the huge Hawk riding on his smaller father's back yelling Giddy-Up, Hi Ho Silver - in a Baby Hughie voice.

I tried looking this info up on the net but can only find the normal looney tunes chickenhawk.

Sounds similar to a Bugs Bunny cartoon. The one with him and that dog with the weird hair. It took place underwater. Bugs winds up in a giant sandwich though.

I know which one you mean, but I don't remember the title. The big chicken hawk put red paint on himself like a birthmark. "I don't have to eat chicken, the book says so, on account of I'm a special kind of hawk." I looked too, but no luck.

I think it is a cartoon with Beaky Buzzard. I'll have to search through my DVDs to be sure.
                    It's all good!
