Vintage Toy Store Photos Volume 17

Yes! A new installment of one of my favorites, vintage toy store photos. A journey back to the days of oddly named department stores and independent mall toy stores and chains that are fondly remembered but sadly mostly gone.

Vintage Toy Store Photos Volume 17 covers the US and Canada this time and features appearances by Big Jim, Kenner Bionic Woman, Barbie, Shogun Warriors, Mego Star Trek, Space:1999, Ideal Star Team, Mattel Donnie and Marie and Kenner Star Wars.

That look on the Wards manager with the Early Bird packs is funny.

OMG! I had those little Hub-Bubs figures by Mattel. I had totally forgotten about them. They were so cute and all had little action features.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I have a Bionic Woman Beauty Salon! It's MIB, (though I have played w/ it), and it has all the hoses, connectors and even extra paper for the Bionic readouts. I got one just like it when I was 11 years old for Christmas. I had gotten the Bionic Woman for my birthday that year. But as I remember, that was the first Christmas I didn't get a doll.

^Those look really familiar. I'm thinking I may have had some of those as well. I may be getting them mixed up with some Richard Scarey figures I had.

I always love seeing these photos. Cindy was happy to see all the Barbie pics too!

I couldn't remember their names, thanks!

Hey Mikey, in which picture is the Winnebago? I remember that toy (and its Mego size relation). I couldn't find it.

I just saw one those Mattel Pre-School sets in watching Silverstreak. I froze the frame in the in the train station gift shop and it was the only name brand toy I could make out. I think it was the train version, actually.

BTW, I always look at these on my iPad so I can stretch the pics out and revel in all the background stuff.
