    The meet with pictures.

I had so much fun actually getting to the Friday meet earlier than usual and staying MUCH later. 2:15 - midnight.

I usually don't find enough time to socialize. I think there are several people I still never spoke to this weekend.

When I left home I decided that this would be the first meet that I actually spend money. Last year I bought Chad's shark, but that was it pretty much.

With a $300 budget, I thought maybe I would try to start collecting the new WGSH from mattel and Figures. Then I set up and started sewing repairs for a Lion from Oz. This will not increase his value. -at all. And I talked to a couple people about how I have always had fun piecing Megos back together be it Green Arrow or Ponch. I saw all the pieces parts here and there in the rooms and my plan hit me....

    - Reassemble the WGSH from parts.

I decided that I would try to avoid buying complete / near complete figures even if priced low.

I alo would try to keep the average total price low - below $15.

    Stick to T2.

I would complete all work there.

I also needed to repair 4 of the WGSH from my personal collection.

Left legs seemed to be my biggest problem. Too many broken knee pins. I tried to stay original but then went to the Doc for repro pins. Alas he had none.
    Here is what I have:

    18580661706_c05000fdc2_z.jpg

I had with me three or four incomplete bodies, tools, a few parts.

In the end I bought 2 figures near complete:
Hulk from Hulk for $20 with two broken elbows. I used a screw and nut from my kit on one. He came with a bread tie in the other.
Mxysptlk was $15 and needed minor repairs. i also bought a $33 of parts from the same fella.

I bought $25 worth of parts from Charlie. $46 ($10 of it was for my personal collection repairs) from Steve. I bought some from David Lee - I think $30. $20 from Michael, $40 from someone else.

    $219 for

    Complete all original-

    1 Spider-man

    Complete-

2 Superman - repro emblem (And enough parts to make a T1 superman including repro emblem)
3 Batman - repro gloves, belt, cape
4 Robin - repro gloves, emblem
    5 Mxysptlk - repro emblem
6 Hulk - elbow pin substitutions

    Mostly there-

    7 Penguin - no jacket
8 Shazam - no cape! repro emblem
9 Captain America - no shield, repro emblem

    Also started-

10 Riddler - no belt, wrong head, hands
11 Catwoman - no suit, boots or gloves
12 Batgirl - no suit, boots, belt, gloves, cape -repro cowl, emblem
13 Falcon - no left boot - repro body
14 Mr. Fantastic - wrong head, boots - no gloves -repro belt
15 Tarzan - no body suit, jungle suit, knife

I am have hints of these, but probably don't count

    16 Joker - no head, suit, shoes - T1
17 Supergirl - incomplete body - no suit, shoes, belt, cape - repro emblem
18 Aquaman - needs knee pins - no suit, head
19 Human Torch - needs knee pins - no suit, head - wrong hands
20 Wonder Woman - no arms, head, suit

there are 8 more with no start

    Green Arrow
    Conan
    Thing
    Thor
    Invisible Girl
    Green Goblin
    Lizard
    Iron Man

Depending on what you count don't count - I made 15 ish. At $15 a figure I needed to stay under $225 - I had $6 to spare!

The rest of the meet in pictures

So on the WGSH I spent $219, I also bought parts for my collection repairs, a VW Campmobile (T2) with complimentary ET to drive it from Berto, stuff for Lily, and art by Art. about $250 in addition to the WGSH.

I sold about $79 worth of stuff.

So my budget was $300 and I spent a net of $390. That is about double what I spent last year. The previous several years were net profits since I was selling off my stuff and not buying much of anything.

I think I will leave my incomplete WGSH in the box until next Mego Meet - and try to Collect 'Em All then.

This photo powerfully illustrates why "Observant" is not a word often used to describe me.

Glad I brought my parts bin and could help. A few stubborn pieces during repairs but a fun project/idea.
