Ledy Superhero`s

Hi all i was thinking of getting into the Ledy superhero`s.How hard are they to get complete and how expensive are they?

Not so bad for Bats, Robin, Supes, Spidey and a few others. Hard to get them with all original cloth goods, tho. The ladies are much more difficult to come by, and the fist fighters even more so.

Even the "common" Ledys are nearly impossible to find complete with all original Ledy accessories, except for Mxy (due to a warehouse find of boxed ones about 20 years ago, and his relative unpopularity) and Spidey (because other than his bodysuit, he has no accessories). I've noticed that Ledys in any condition don't seem to be showing up as much as they used to.

Locating them is not an easy task, especially the fist fighters and the gals.....I have been actively looking to complete my set for 4 years now and I'm not even close. If you want all originals that is....not to mention you'll need a boat load of money.

I put together a set of really nice condition, 90% complete, all original set of the "common" nine figures several years back and am satisfied with that. I tried going after some of the fist fighters and "chicas" a few times, and always got pantsed, so I've given up on getting any of them and moved onto other wants (unless I stumble upon a great deal someday..)

I had helped a member on here negotiate a deal with a former member on here. They worked out a deal for a nice set of near complete figures for a good bit under $10,000. Maybe he can chime in for more detail. They are not cheap or easy to find in collector condition. Those girls and ff are really rare in good condition

I'm the member that bought the set Joseph referred to and they are not easy to find complete and all original. Some accessories are identical to their US counterparts in appearance and it's not until you actually handle them that you can tell there's a difference in the weight and feel of the plastic. Captain America's shield is a prime example. By the way, I'm trying to convince Bryan to release a book because he's probably the most qualified person to do so. I'll keep twisting his arm, but it's all rubbery like a Ledy.

Back to collecting. I was planning on slowly acquiring them due to how hard they are to find (especially the chicas and fist fighters), but Bryan had this super nice collection for sale (He called it the master set) and many years of searching was reduced down to about one month. There are some things you need to be aware of when collecting them: You will probably only find original emblems on Mxyz (Aquaman with a velour belt "A" shaped belt is another). The vinyl capes will often be ripped from use. The oven mitts will all have fringed cuffs like Batman, but the cut is different. It's also highly unlikely you'll find any of their accessories in mint shape. It would probably be safe to say that fair condition for Ledy accessories is the new mint. I'm just telling you this so you won't be disappointed. Complete accessories are so rare that you'll settle for just having them (even if they're held together with band-aids and paperclips).

I do have some extras I was planning on selling when I found the time --including some chicas and a Riddler FF. I might hold onto the extra Supergirl I have as she's a variation. She has an elastic belt with a different buckle and I haven't been able to find any examples of it on the web. I've been assured it's legit and she's a beaut. My arm isn't rubber like a Ledy's so someone might be able to twist it hard enough to get me to let her go for the right price. Other than that, you've got eBay/auction sites, Mego Market Place, a trip across the border, or Bryan. I can pass your info onto Bryan if you'd like, but I get a 10% commission.

I'm sure you'll have lots of replies. Maybe even some from your local Vice Squad (I hear they're big collectors)
