Removing Mattel Hero heads

I know I have seen this on here before but I can not find the post now. Does anyone know the best way to remove these without damaging the head or the body? I tried heating up some water and soaking it for about 30 seconds but that did not work. Thanks

heat for 3 minutes, soak at least 5 and be careful. twist and use a butter knife.
