Nightwing -- early 1990s Justice League Task Force era
So, during The New Titans 86, 87, and 88 story arc, Starfire convinces Nightwing to modernize his look. "It's the '90s out there sweetheart," she whispers in his ear, "...and it's time you finally joined up."
I really enjoyed the idea behind the Justice League Task Force even though if failed to produce a lasting title. And, I especially like Nightwing being in the group. I thought he was a perfect fit.
Nightwing is built on a Mego Type 2 body with hands painted blue; his head is an enlargement of a Nightwing head from the DC Direct Knightfall Batman line with paints by me; and his suit is by yours truly. As an homage to the Mego Batman I used that Bat logo for his belt buckle. I also left the under-arm "wings" off, similar to the DC Direct figure. Just not a fan.
Oh yeah, and I made sure to include his pony-tail.
