From what I have been told do not expect a cross-over till later. They want to get Supergirl off her feet in the first half of the series.

Just rewatching the trailer... with Baby Kal-El also seen boarding a ship on Krypton, I'm going to speculate that this might follow Jeph Loeb's revamp origin which has her as being older than her cousin on Krypton, but arriving later on earth and leaving stasis now younger than her baby cousin. Although I can't remember... did they do that in Smallville as well? (also executive produced by Loeb?)
