It might be good. But it just *really* disappoints me because
    *

SPOILERS FOR DAYS OF FUTURE PAST
    *
    *
    *
My favorite part of DoFP was the end -- Wolverine wakes up, the school's running . . . Kelsey Grammer is the Beast and Jean and Scott are there just as they were when we first met them in X-Men . . . all was fixed from the other movies and I was just thrilled for where the next one could go . . .

    So they RECAST?!?!?!

      From the EW article

"We had to do some adjustments here and there and be like, alright, maybe this is too alien. He also is someone who people would want to follow and not just be terrified of. So the balance, and then making sure that there's some great elements from the comic but also making our own thing as well. In the comic, he generally is like 12 feet, 600 pounds."
It fits the FOX interpretation of characters, but between his look and who the Horseman are, my interest has been halved.

The original Apocalypse, undefined and seemingly related to High Evolutionary, was my favorite villain. This version uses some of that, but it also feels like he's going to be Evil Xavier...isn't that Onslaught?

They should have mo-capped James Earl Jones. He was always Apocalypse to me in facial design and presence. I always wondered if Simonsons were referencing Thulsa Doom, as they're nearly identical characters.

Why did they use those stupid scars on Nightcrawler's skin again?

the new movie takes place in the eighties doesn't it? so having younger versions of Storm, Cyclops and Jean Grey makes sense

Apocalypse doesn't look bada** enough but I'm not going to complain about the age continuality of the mutants, since the first film was 15 years ago. I just want a good film, and I hope Juggernaut makes an appearance. His comic look I feel could directly translate to the big screen.

I'm pleased that they adapted Psylocke's costume so accurately.
But Apocalypse himself just doesn't look right. They should have stuck closer to his comic book appearance.

                      Apocalypse looks really, really sad.
Like he was forced to join the Blue Man Group.

Someone was saying last week how everyone is complaining about Apocalypse's look. They said everyone was also complaining about Quicksilver's look for Days of Future Past before the movie came out. That turned out fine,I'm sure this will too.

There's a huge difference between Silver and Apocalypse. The quote from EW sums up the problem; they felt he had to be humanized, so they made him human in size and then culled his powers to some hybrid of Magneto's magnetism by way of Xavier's telepathy. If he sounds human, on top of that, then it's missed opportunity.
