    Space Sword!

Nine years after first posting a want ad on here, I am finally reunited with my beloved Space Sword. This is all thanks to Mark from the soon to be open Dr Tongues I Had that shop in Portland Oregon.

Mark saw my plea and sold me his childhood space sword. The quest is over and I couldn't be happier.

I honestly got days worth of play out of this thing and it's glow in the dark feature was hugely important to me.

Every time I walk into my office, this is the first thing that greets me. There are rarer and definitely more expensive toys in this work but honestly, this is in my top five. For more Fashion Mockery and 70's toy love visit us at Plaid Stallions.com

I've shopped at Dr. Tongue's 3-D House Of Collectible Toys in Portland before. He had closed up shop for a few years, but I think he is opening a store front again. If it is like before, it will be a great destination when visiting Portland.

I never knew of this until hearing about it here, but I would have loved this as a kid. That shields looks like it could have actually blocked some damage!

Neat! That's the largest glow in the dark toy I've seen.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

When I saw the title of the thread, I wondered if it was the same glow-in the dark sword that I had when I was a little boy. It is!

The sword must have been sold as a set with the shield and alone, because I don't remember the shield, at all. However, I remember the sword quite vividly.

From the pictures, the sword looks like it's in almost un-played with condition, Brian. Is that a proper assessment? (Not that it really matters, in this case)

I remember my friend swinging that sword down and shattering the knuckle guard on my Zorro sword into pieces across my bloodied knuckles in an epic back-yard battle! I think I got rid of the space sword when it started to crack near the handle.

My grandmother gave me a Space Sword and I loved it! A sword that glows in the dark! So cool!
I haven't seen mine in a long time. Not sure if I still have it.

Definitely familiar with the sword - a classic - but I've never seen the matching shield. That is a huge hunk of glo-in-the-dark plastic, which is a rare and precious element. Love the typography. Is there a strap to hold onto? Congrats!
