It should give you most accurate comparison of the different tones etc.

Best side by side. That should be in accessory check.

You should see the one of his Red headed Action Jacksons... Clem has some outrageous stuff!

Len's theory about the Alter Ego Heads is right...the color of the head has a lot to do with being able to tell a AE from a regular head. Here two pics I took today...they both came from the same seller. One is a Removable Mask Robin and the other is a Alter Ego Dick Grayson....tell me if you see another difference that can help in IDing a AE from a regular version. BTW, both the RM Robin and AE Dick Grayson have copyright info on their necks. I have watermarked the pics with a Wings logo:

It looks like the AE head is slightly bigger in height and in width than the RM Robin head.

Opinions on this head. Has very faint copyright 1972 on neck with odd purplish tint where hair paint is rubbed off and no white specks in eyes.

Someone used a sharpie to blacken rubs. Could be 40 years old but it fades purple.

Is it just a Superman head?

Side by side would be nice to with another type 1 superman head in same shot. But could be Kent.

But even if so, a problem piece. Looks like someone went over hear rubs with a sharpie at one point as well as eyebrows, and also looks like someone thickened the eyebrows and painted over white dot in eyes. See comparisons.

wasn't there a way to tell a Don head from Supes or Clark Kent?? Something to do with the chin area. I thought I remember discussions about it at the first Mego Meet.

Only this /|\ , I do recall being part of that conversation but interesting tidbit of info none the less.
