    Hanna-Barbera License = THUNDARR???

Oh, please let it be so!

Didn't Mego have the rights to "Thundarr The Barbarian" at one time?

I remember seeing card art mock-up in a Mego book, but I believe others have said it was a fake.

Regardless, I wold love me some Thundarr Megos!

Unfortunately Thundarr is a Ruby-Spears cartoon, although WB did release it on DVD. I don't think it falls under the HB license.

I WISH they would do Thundarr! That's a classic cartoon with a cult following. I RATHER have Thundarr than Scooby Doo who I think is a TIRED and played out cartoon. I don't hate Scooby Doo but he already has WAY too much product

Hanna-Barbara owns Ruby Spears so FTC can make Thundarr.

Ruby Spears is indeed owned by Hanna Barbera who is in turn owned by Warner Brothers hence all the DVD releases. All Ruby Spears characters should be available for this line. My hope is to see Thundarr, Mr. T and Goldie Gold.

Yep. Ruby-Spears is part of WB now. Thundaar would be a awesome addition and if they do them I hope they're able to do the villian Gemini. This property would be full of nice looking Megos, IMO.

I'll tell you other licenses I would like to see (but of course, is more complicated) and that would be Blackstar and Bravestaar. These two would probably fall under Mattel but they sure as heck arent doing anything with them and I definately have alot of nostalgia for them being a '80s kid.

Heres a picture of Gemini for those who dont remember him:

I was planning on him as well............... flesh painting Darkseid can make that happen.

Yep. He was designed by Kirby to. He has a couple of different faces that probably could be done on one head.

I'd be eager to see how Oookla turned out.

Thundarr would be a welcome addition; Ookla would be a challenge, though.

I think I'd use the Hulk body. The easiest way to do the head might be to do that face and then give him hair like they have done a couple of bearded figures in the past. If done well, you would end up with a lion effect that I think is what they went for in the cartoon.

I never really made the connection before but he kinda reminds me of Ka D'Argo from Farscape somehow.

I think definitely use the Hulk body, but they might consider making the legs longer, since Hulk is a little shorter than the other Megos.

IMHO, they would have to use FUR for Thundarr's costume, just like Conan's FUR loincloth. Barbarians of all eras probably have the same fashion sense.

Ariel would be the easiest mod in my opinion.
