DC Comics Painted Wooden Figure: Superman

I found this a little over a month ago. It's really neat; has a retro/classic/homemade quality to it with a more modern design that reminds me a lot of those Japanese art vinyl toys.

Some pictures and a brief rundown of the figure are on my web site:

It is an interesting style. I can see someone with a very modern looking room having the different heroes placed around the room.
    It's all good!

Some people don't get POP, and I honestly don't get these. They are too deformed for me, but I would imagine a set of them would look pretty neat together.

Why would he have red cuffs? That's a little strange.

^Maybe they are trying to mimic the New 52 red piping?

Very good review and pictures but I have to admit I don't really get the appeal or market for these.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Love the classic meets modern aesthetic. Really fun how the Art Toys movement (which really takes many cues from off-model stylings of traditional toys) is seeping into the mainstream like this.
