The Monkees are a good choice, I'm kind of surprised MEGO never made them back in the 70's. Their show was on in re-runs and popular with kids back then, similar to Star Trek as far as exposure for the brand.

I would like to get a set of 8" Monkees, so I hope that is the announcement. It would be great if FTC makes instruments to go with them as they could be used for other custom musicians.

Spyweb007 you are completely right. I was a kid of the 70's and watched The Monkees & Star Trek reruns all the time ... I may have even watched The Monkees more ... and I had many Star Trek megos ... I would have played with Monkees megos too.

The only Monkeys I'll like to see in the retro 8" format are more POTA apes. EMCE owed us badly the General Ursus/Urko, the regular Ursus/Urko and the Astronaut, at a minimum...

My sister will love Mego Monkees! She became a Monkees fan in the 80s when she was in her early teens and the Monkees reunited (minus Mike) She recorded all the Monkees TV episodes on videotapes and the Brady Bunch episode with Davey and had all Monkees songs on cassette tapes! I once gave her a Monkees bobblehead set for Christmas and she loved it!

*In 2002 or 2003 I won a nationwide radio call in (I was 11th caller) and won the 1st season of Monkees TV show on DVD which I gave to my sister! I remember I waited for the monkey's cry to call!

I would "go bananas" if you will if they made the monkees,i remember the farrow had sculpts of these on his fb page(nothing licensed,just his own work) and i commented how much i would love to see ftc make the monkees.anyway he liked my comment so it's possible.

i have always liked the monkees,back in the 70s they use to run reruns on sat morning,i liked the music and the show.back in 70s i
use to go to the thrift shops and find all the Monkees albums and singles.today i have some cds & i bought the re-release of the tv show.
i would get a set,and maybe the super-monkees,since they never will make a car for the dukes,i doubt we will see the monkeemobile.
