    Finally Got Me A Dewback

I have just recently started to hunt for some vintage Kenner Star Wars stuff that Mom drew the line on way back when.

This week I finally got a Dewback, which I never had as a kid.

It is such a simple toy, but I think it is a classy, well-scaled design with great character.

    Can I get a witness?!

Absolutely. A great sculpt with an ingenious solution to saddling up a straight legged figure. Only problem is, my rubber reigns broke ages ago.

That's cool! That's not a Star Wars toys that I remember having seen when we were kids (or ever).

I told my stormtrooper to be gentle on those reigns.

Love the vintage Dewback, too. Missed out on one as a kid, but finally picked one up at a memorabilia event a few years ago. Definitely one of my favourite SW toys.

Still my favorite Dewback toy. Such a great design with the little trap door for the figure. With in seconds you have your Stormtrooper riding off on an adventure. Unlike the most recent Dewback. After 10 minutes of fiddling the figure still doesn't sit right and falls off if you so much as look at it wrong.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

I actually had the rare Canadian ESB Dewback a few years ago. Was kinda cool.

Never had one as a kid, finally got one in the late 80s.
I got it from Intergalactic Trading, and it took three months to get here by boat.
Those were the times that tested a man's patience...

When the 12" scale Dewback came out, I hesitantly asked my friend Scott if he could bring one over when visiting Belgium. He said "no sweat" like that. Then, of course, he had to lug that thing halfway across the globe. Flying Dewback!

                    Congrats, everyone should have Dewback!

Love the dewback. That and the landspeeder were our first accessories when they came out in '78. I got the speeder with a luke and my bro the trooper with a dewie. Wish I got the 12" Sideshow version but I'm content with the 3.75 version. What I've always wanted was this one:

Its seeing things like this that makes me want to collect vintage star wars again. I remember grandpa buying the dewback, taun taun, and Wampa for me and my cousins.

Got mine that I got in 79 and hes staring at me right now as I type this! The sedimental value of this guy is priceless to me as I can remember playing with him clear as day as a kid.
About 2 years ago I found a desert Stromtrooper in the package at the goodwill. I put him in the dewback and hes stuck in there.
