Mr. Steve is on vacation this week, so the newsletter is good but not great. Still some surprises thoughm especially the reveal this week:

Metamorpho looks amazing! That screen printed suit might be the best one FTC has done. So Mego-ey!

It's a good looking figure. Only downside is the angry expression and the painted mouth. I always prefer a neutral look on the face unless the expression is a major part of the character (like the Joker), and the painted mouth takes away from the "this is a real version of a comic book character" feel these figures always had. I can see a justification here because of the all white face, but it popped up and looked horrible on Hawkman, so I hope they stop doing this. It's easy to get off a molded face, but if they do it on a face that is painted, you're stuck with it. Aside from those nits, the figure is an excellent adaptation of a Fradon or Aparo Metamorpho. Everything that needed to be captured is done well, and the screen print on the suit is nigh perfect. My only fear on the latter is that the suits are going to have to be put together with care as the musculature is part of the print, and he's going to look odd with his abs plastered on his chest. If they make the production versions as well aligned as this, I will be very impressed.

The painted mouth seems to work well for the Hanna Barbara figures, but not so much the comic figures. I am glad to finally see some Outsiders and since they are in production, hopefully we will see some more in the upcoming weeks. I am really looking forward to seeing Black Lightning.

Being world-class influencers is tough work, I mean just the vodka launch parties alone can take their toll on a guy, not to mention all the cruises and other free perks. I won't even get into these pesky ladies blowing up our phones every minute.

I think the Metamorpho suit looks great. I only wish FTC would have used screen printing before, especially on Trickster or Firestorm.

I love how much of Jim Aparo's artwork they captured in this sculpt and suit. CANNOT. WAIT to get this one!
