    Krofft Week: Electrawoman and Dynagirl

This week’s podcast theme is the Krofft Supershow so I feel it appropriate to theme the week to some of my favourites from the brothers Krofft.

Electrawoman and Dynagirl is absolutely in my top five favourite Krofft shows. I didn't understand what drew me to this show as a kid but I could not look away either.

Above is a rack toy from Harmony that I sadly don’t own but would give eye teeth for. I don't own a heck of a lot of EW/DG items sad to say but here a couple of pieces.

I made these custom Mego figures of EW and DG back in the 1990s, I'm not sure what I did with them.

These Electra Woman viewmasters are actually the only thing currently in my incredible "collection".

Ideal made a pretty boss looking board game that I'd like to own.

I had no idea HG toys made a puzzle, I must own this!

Lastly, the Ben Cooper Electrawoman Halloween costume, some day......

Yeah those were done when Paul was "Intern Mego", so they hobbled together with original parts sourced from toy shows, flea markets and the Levy List.

I only have the vaguest memories of this show, but I have a feeling my daughter would love it. Is the series out on DVD? I see Amazon has a Krofft "sampler", but that's all I see.

I have the "Krofft Super Show" lunchbox with EW & DG on one side.

With the cult following this show has, it is really surprising there has never been a complete series DVD release of this series. There were only 8 "episodes" in this series. (There were 16 "parts" with each full story consisting of two parts. One of many nods this show made to the 1966 "Batman" series.) The whole series could probably fit on one DVD or Blu-ray.

A few episodes have come out on various Krofft compilations and there was a "Volume 1" VHS released as well, but most of the episodes remain unreleased. It's a shame. As corny as this show is, I love it.

YAY!! Anyone who knows me on this forum knows I LOVE all things Krofft! I have most of the Krofft Supershow (both seasons) in bootleg form, as well as the lunch box and EW & DG and Dr. Shrinker view master reels. I really prefer the first season w/ the glam rock look and Flatbush (RIP Bert Summers). I have very fond memories watching this show and pretending I was a new sidekick to add to the duo, "Daring Kid". I fashioned my own cape from a towel, and an "Electra-Comp" from odds and ends. I have all the eps of EW & DG and my fave villainess is the Empress of Evil. (or as Dyna Girl calls her "Empress Bo-Weevil")

*Edit to add*: I also really love Peter Mark Richman as "The Pharoah" too! And I nearly bought that costume when I was 11, but got "The Bionic Woman" instead.

Any female role models who inspire boys and girls to want to throw on a cape and play are a-okay by me. I'd love to see this show.

Wow, those Halloween costumes in the boxes with the plastic mask with elastic band,
bring back great memories, I remember having Mr. Spock which I remember getting
                  at Kresges.

The funny thing about this unaired pilot is takes place in the DC Universe since Flash and Aquaman show up.

Loved Elektra Woman and Dynagirl but the revamp was a bit of a trainwreck.

I would pay big money for an accurate Electracomp prop replica. One of my all-time favorite TV character gadgets.
