Chronos started his career as petty thief David Clinton who attributed his consistent incarceration to his timing, or lack thereof. To improve his timing, he studied the rhythm of time pieces and by practice he learned to synchronize each of his actions with the beat of the prison clock. By the end of his sentence he had developed an extraordinary sense of timing which he resolved to use to further his criminal career. He then adopted the colorful costume and alter ego of Chronos, the Time Thief. Clinton had acquired an unhealthy fascination with time and he developed a series of gimmick weapons and deathtraps based on time pieces (clocks with blades as hands, flying sun dials). He also liked to give time related puns, such as 'Time is golden!'
His first appearance was in Atom #3 - 1962
There have been many slight variations of Chronos in the comics over the past 50 plus years he has been around. And here is mine: he is built on an original T2 body with yellow hands; suit from Brian Leitner (from a Mego Meet years ago); cloth emblem by me; CTVT boots and belt; Dr Mego cape; Repro Mattel Retro Action Lex Luthor head with paints by yours truly.
I went with the belt because I think that may be what Mego would have done. It was either than or a printed suit and since I already had Brian's, the belt seemed to be the direction to go.

I hope you enjoy my customs as much as I do, and, as always, thanks for looking!
