I mentioned in another thread earlier that my son, Noah, is 14 and has CP/autism. He is extremely rough on his toys/books/DVDs/whatever and immediately destroys them. As such, I buy him the Hasbro 12" plastic figures for his playing pleasure. They are cheap and relatively durable. However, I wanted to see if he would "connect" with MEGOs; so for Christmas, I got him his first. It is a minty Type 2 Spidey with a Toyroom Electric Company box and lasermego display case. My first MEGO was a Spidey in Electric Co. box, so I opted for the same to recreate that memory from my childhood. As a dad, I absolutely loved watching him experiencing my first MEGO memory!
Right now, he only gets "supervised visitation" with his MEGO Spidey. LOL! He truly seems to enjoy it, so I have decided to watch the marketplace and start adding to his WGSH collection. My next step is to get him some cheapies and see how he plays with them and handles them.
Anyways, without further ado, here's a pic of Noah getting his first MEGO for Christmas this year. He's not a smiler; but believe me, he was happy! Thanks Paul and Anthony for the incredible work on the box and case!
And here is a sampling of his Hasbro figures from his stocking. I love the Mego-esque presentation. They are a very cheap, durable alternative for the kiddies!
