"Werecat" from Michael Jackson THRILLER Video - In progress

This creature was a huge part of my childhood - My favorite video, and an awesome creature design!!! I want to make him (it?) in MEGO scale!!!

Here is where I am at - I have some raw pieces (a body that needs to be restrung (had the cross leg CTVT issue), a shirt, jeans and shoes) and I digitally sculpted a head that I am going to paint and add hair onto!

Thats all for now - just waiting on the 3D print output for the head to see where I will go next. I also have a MEGO letterman jacket that I am going to take apart and reverse engineer to make the proper RED color... (I also have to learn how to use a sewing machine)

Can't wait to see this. I don't think I've ever seen a Mego-ite attempt him before.

This should be really cool looking when it's completed...

The details on the head look really nice. What kind of material / printer did you use?

The head is right out of the 3D printer - Its an industrial 3D printer, called an OBJET EDEN... Great machine - Not flawless, but very very good (The flawless machine is 4X as much per print ) At this scale it fine though!

Cool. Thanks for the info. My hobby printer isn't working at the moment and I was thinking of picking up a different one, but not an industrial one.

Ya - this printer is HUGE - Like almost refrigerator huge, and I think in the $200K neighborhood! The Form-1 is supposed to be nice, and in the 4K neighborhood - If I was going to buy one for myself, it would be the Form-1 (Although Autodesk is building a nice one in the 6K range that is going to be amazing...)
