    Colouring BooK Theatre: Spiderman's Christmas

Spider-Man's Christmas: Giant Story Colouring Book by Marvel Books
I found this book at a flea market the other and seeing how it's Christmas, I spent the money and nabbed this gigantic book from 1984.

It's done in '84 by the Marvel Bullpen so it's nicely done rip of the Parkes Run books from the 70s.

Here we see Peter shopping for orphans, which is understandable i guess. Hey Peter, don't miss those swell MARVEL SECRET WARS figures on display, those look something every kid wants.

Aunt May got captured by Norman Osborne, who turned the heat off at the orphanage, that's ******y, even for him.

I don't know if the audience is too worried if Aunt May is trapped or not.

So basically, this green character wants to steal Christmas, that's a bit too spot on Marvel.

The only thing missing here is the "SWIK!" sound effect. Too soon?

Ooof, Aunt May has that wagging finger out.

    Spider-Christmas everybody!

That has got to be Jim Mooney on the art.

Funny how this came straight from Marvel, and they repeatedly spelled Norman Osborn's name wrong. There is no "e".

I would have gone nuts for this as a kid. I love the Goblin, and super hero Christmas stories. But yeah, Marvel should have just been up front and called it "How the Goblin Stole Christmas".

It bothers me that they went to the trouble to squeeze an "apostrophe S" in the TOYS sign and that's not even how you spell the plural...

Is there no level the Green Goblin won't stoop to?

Nah, ol' Pete has a gift certificate from Tom Toy's Toy Town. Pete can't usually buy Aunt May a bottle of aspirin, so good old Tom Toy is donating presents for the orphans! What a terrific guy Tom Toy is- wish we had a Tom Toy's Toy Town here!
