The NEW (but not necessarily improved) Spider-Woman...

As a longtime fan of Spider-Woman, I was extremely disappointed to see this...

    image.jpg

...as it only lets me know that full Disneyfication of the MARVEL universe is now underway. Will it be long before a super-heroine is presented in the mold of a Disney "princess?" First they screwed with Ms./Captain Marvel, now this!!! Ugh! I'm so glad I grew up with the classics!!

CRAP!!! Meant to post this in the "COMICS" department!! Any mods out there who can be so kind as to move it for me?
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

She looks like Veronica from Archie Comics.

Another needless, vastly inferior redesign from a self serving egotistical artist.

I hate it when Studios feel inclined to make our heroes look... pedestrian. To me, that's indicative of some kind of shame they have because they're afraid to let the concept shine from it's comic book origins.

looks like its paving the way for a movie appearance. Assuming the character is not tied to the Spider-Man franchise, she might be getting used to replace Petey in the Civil War storyline for the movies.

reminds me of that silly Wonder Woman costume Peter David came up with a few years ago, which DC quickly got rid of

Might be a redesign in response to the bad press from the "butt" cover illustration?
              It's all good!

So let's get this straight...she just zips up her jacket, pops on some shades and she's Spider-Woman. Freaking pathetic. They took one of the best female costume designs ever and just crapped all over it.

Her big butt was her best asset, if you ask me...

This new version is about as bland as it gets.

I blame Smallville. Look at what they started.

It looks like she is wearing a yellow neck-tie.

I think it's a great design but not for Spider-Woman, she had an iconic costume.

^ Yes, I agree. I really like the style of illustration and the facial expression.
