I see the Hornet a good deal, there are even three on Ebay right now, I'd say Cap was tougher by a long shot.

I have been Figure collecting for over 20 years... but the last 12 months its gone over the top.
In the last 3 months I have got 5 AJ's and at least 10 costumes :) (which I never had when i was a kid) and am getting Retro Star Trek.
My main Figure Collecting is the Doctor Who ones.
But I have 2 questions...
My last AJ i got has a darker more reddish face.. is this normal, as it was suppose to be a mint in box (never opened). (it is a bearded one, but the body is a normal T2 body.
And my first new AJ (bearded) has a pale mark on its neck (like a birthmark for figures)
(this was also a MIB one too) (I try to get MIB ones).
And I cannot show photos as i dont have a camera... sorry.
If the hair's red ,there a lot variaions in hair. Black Blonde and brown on the norms.
also it normal if the flesh tone is reddish .yeah there some with that pigment variation.skin tone can vary.
as for the brith mark on the neck if its blue is the chemical change in the skin pigment do to the thinning colorization pigments in that area during the roto casting.
Had the chance to get the full set of 4 in one go recently, missing accessories but I'm not really too worried :-)
1979 Takara Japan 8-Inch Star Wars vinyls:

Picked this up last year too, it's my oldest super hero item by a long shot.
Early 1940's Sunday Mail (Australia) Superman Comics Club pinback, the earliest piece of Aussie Superman merchandise I know of.

I didn't even know this thread existed...actually...wasn't paying attention to the Classic Toy forum...silly on my part.
But now I know it's here...and perfect place to post some cool stuff.
:smiley13:
Wow Will, I missed seeing those Takara Star Wars figures first time around. Big congrats, that set would certainly be tough to put together, so it's great to get them all in one shot like that. I want to pick up some loose examples myself one day, especially Vader. If you ever upgrade and want to get rid of the extras, let me know. ;)
They were all from an auction run by Vectis (Vectis Home Page - Vectis Toy Auctions
). They specialise in Toy auctions, mainly diecast and trains but every now and then they do TV related stuff. That auction which I won those goodies from was the best I've ever seen them do, my eyes popped when I saw what was on offer!
sure nobody likes my 2 little items and Im the one that revived this dead thread yesterday:smiley1::smiley1:
Glad you got in there eventually, let's hope there's something worth bidding on in upcoming auctions. If any decent tv related auctions come up, I'll let you know.
That's a cool Mattel Koenig, that line never seems to get a lot of love. i personally think they're pretty cool figures with great packaging.
I recently picked up a pair of AHI Monster variants:

These are the "Cupped Hand" Frankenstein and the Jointed Wrist Dracula. Both are in nice shape. Dracula is complete, but Frankenstein apparently mugged someone and stole their running shoes ;)

Nice pick ups!! Two great AHI variants there. Congrats.
Turns out I was mistaken. Apparently the cupped hand AHI figures were released with those goofy athletic shoes, since the regular shoes and boots didn't fit their bigger feet:

Thanks Cat!
For anyone wondering if there are still fun items on ebay look no further:

It's genuine 70's old store stock from a former travelling salesman.
I couldn't stop smiling as I opened up thie package. :smiley1:
Cheers,
Will
I got taken big time by those things...
Cool specs Will! Hope you're not going to be wearing them out on the street too often ;). I always saw those in comic ads but never got around to buying a pair.
That X-Ray Glasses display is so sweet.
As a kid I was always torn between my skepticism that there was no way those glasses could logically work, and my desire to see naked ladies. Logic won out, and I never bothered to buy a pair, but I remember really wishing that such a wonderful invention actually existed. :smiley1:
hey guys how do i post a pic?....sorry for the newbie q?
