Any new classic toy aquisitions?

Was pleasantly surprised when this showed up today. Basically it had not been easy to find an offerless ESB Greedo. Then I someone agrees to sell me one says he has two graded and one ungraded. I go for the ungraded as I don't want to pay a premium.
There was a delay in sending the package out and I was bit worried. I finally get it today and I'm opening this up and saying "cool, he included an acrylic case". Turns out I got an extra reward for waiting..

Anybody know who the clean Micronauts looking guy is? And the tiger? (Hannah Barbara?)

The micronauts looking guy is a Denys Fisher Cyborg with Muton arms.
I've been looking for an original of that Floyd lp for a while now. Also a boxed GI Joe. That is a fantastic score.

Did Denys Fisher say Takara/Hasbro on the back? :)

Yes...the Cyborg figure was made by Takara as well in Japan. Sgt. Storm is one of 2 Matt Mason/Colorform Alien figures I need...I keep hoping to find him at a flea market...The Heman weapons alone are worth the price of the lot!

Yep. Originally takara used hasbro gi joe molds to make the Henshin Cyborg line in Japan. Then Denys Fisher put out there version of henshin Cyborgs. They put out 3 figures: Cyborg, Muton and Android. Interchangable arms legs etc. and they are smaller than their japanese counterparts which were around 12". The Denys are around 8"-9" I think (I only have the Henshin ones).

He had another box, I should of bought it.

Guy had a LOT of interesting stuff. A big toy collector and man were his prices cheap.

Not all of this stuff came from the same sale, btw.

Pink Floyd LP, MOTU stuff, the King Kong/Gorilla Bank (and a vintage Halloween decoration) came from 1 sale. Got it all the $3

The rest of the stuff was $30. I just wonder what I missed out on...I'm sure some stuff slipped under my radar. He had a beater Mego Our Gang Porky on the card for $5, but I didn't buy it. The guy I got the other stuff from had the Mego Star Trek playset....$1! But it was kinda of beat, so I left it.

Does anyone know where the Lion comes from? He's Marx.

I also want to complete that Joe with his accessories and proper pants, so any help is appreciated.

Nice score! That Land Adventurer with the box is cool. I picked one up at the last show i went to..... no box though. You should be able to complete him pretty easily, just hunt around on eBay. Watch out for the pistols, a lot of them have broken trigger guards from kids shoving them into the holster. Another thing to watch out for is that i found that there are several different color variations on his fatigues. It may be better to go ahead and get a matching set instead of just the pants.

He had a big bag of GI Junk. I should of bought it. I am a fool...I really should of dug deeper that day. This guy's sale was a dream come true.

Anyway, does anyone know where that Marx Lion comes from?

Thanks. I have passed up a couple of Redskins before. I have a lead on another now. They are about in the middle of the pack as far as rarity goes. If I pass on this one or come across a 2nd I will let you know.

A mint Cardinal is nice and pretty tough figure to boot. Which ones do you have that are broken? In case you haven't tried yet, there's a number of ways you can "fix" them. I use whatever rubber bands I have laying around the house. A few minutes and bit of jerry-rigging and voila.

Let me see what I can do. The Cardinals is dead mint loose. Steelers is nice. Cowboys is wobbly. I'm trying to remember the others. I want to say there is a Seahawks and Bills in the broken lot but don't quote me on it. I also think there is another Steelers and another Cowboys in it as well.

Challenging to get her perfect because the lace is very fragile. Her hair was a little sticky (over the years the scent can sometimes react with the plastic) when I took her out of the box but washed up beautifully. I don't think it shows up in the pic but the hair is very smooth and silky. She is absolutely minty!

Even came with a 29 year old coupon for Strawberry Shortcake cereal. It's still good too! No expiration date, lol.

A holiday season purchase arrived this week, I had forgotten about it. I have low level obsession with mailer boxed Remco monsters, don't know why.

Talk about classic toys...Just got a 1960's Dr. Evil in the mail. Complete with original ray gun, mask and medallion (broken), and missing sandels, but purchased for a whopping $30, so no complaints from me.
It was won in an ebay auction, pictures looked like it had been last played with at the beach some 40 years ago, sand crusted in the mask's eyes etc. Looked like a nice fixer upper and it was. really surprised how some sellers don't even give their items a once over with a toothbrush and some soapy water.

Great pick up Andy. :yes: Yeah, it's surprising how many sellers don't even attempt to do at least some light cleaning on what they are selling.

Not bad, I think. Rough shape, but oh well. I will trade the legs for the Maskatron pieces I am missing (left human arm, clamp arm, major fred mask, outfit is all?).

Maskatron is the easiest figure to piece out and make a couple bucks on too. The center pieces can Conservatively go for $5 each, legs and arms the same. A lot of incomplete Maskatrons out there just needing one or two items for completion.

Looks like an engagement picture to me. Which is nice, as I'm glad Dr. Evil and Dr. Kromedome found each other (I was worried about those two).

Plus, they're both doctors, so they should do very well as a two-income family. Congrats to the happy couple! ;)
