    Electronic Games 1980

As a collector of board games, I wanted to ask folks if Electronic Detective is any good, also is Maniac as fun as it looks? Please let me know in the comments.

I didn't have any of those. The only electronic handhelds I remember owing are Blip, Hit and Missile, Digital Derby, Simon, and Alien Attack (that last one was made by Coleco and was actually pretty great for the time).

Played a few of those Mattel Electronics sports games.
But only ever owned Merlin out of those pictured. Merlin was awesome.

I had Merlin. It was a lot of fun.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Mattel also had some good non-sports games too. My first one was Battlestar Galactica (still have it) and Sub-Chase.

My brother and I had the white version of football, basketball, the 2-person baseball, and later on galaxian. I wish I still had those. My wife got me a small version of the football game for a stocking stuffer last year. The lights are so dim you can't see the guys.

I had the Mattel Battlestar Galactica, baseball and the Coleco Football. Had Blip, too.
                        It's all good!

i was never impressed by the LED moving blip games. Also I was terrible at them so they were probably equally unimpressed by me.
