I am really hopeful we get a Toho Kong out of all this, but I doubt it. Either way, I've had this figure preordered since it was first announced. Needs it!

The box art pretty much guarantees Kong. Otherwise, Toho wouldn't allow it.

Pretty much a deathblow to Bandai.

The Walmart reset has space for Bandai vinyl Kaiju from Godzilla classic movies. So not so fast on Bandai's demise with Zilla.

Great looking figure, too bad it didn't come with a little push button that lights up his fins.

I would think they would offer Kong too, and if sales are good, maybe more Toho monsters in the future,
like Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidora.

Do they really? That is surprising. I'm wondering if it's a pricepoint thing.

Bandai's usual MO is to want stateside exclusivity.

yep, I am guessing its to cash in on the new movie. They had pegs labeled Godzilla and Kaiju. Maybe Neca is considered a specialty market thing.

                    Love it !!!!!!!!!

'62 Godzilla costume was the last Godzilla to look scary/cool imo

After that all Godzilla's had puppy-dog heads until '84/'85

Speaking of this version, still waiting for Godzilla vs The Wolfman to see the light of day

Oh man, that's wonderful, especially the packaging, I'll need this.

I think Bandai will be ok, the US market represents a very small percent of their sales.

Yeah the box art means nothing. Licensing products from that film or any Toho Kong stuff has lots of legal issues, none of which are Toho. I'm hopeful, but it's more complex than 66 Batman.

And Bandai has a Monsterart of the exact same figure coming out. If anything, Toho isn't playing favorites.

The Easter Bunny brought me one of these and I just opened it. I can't post photos. It's an impressive figure both in appearance and articulation. Godzilla is solid and weighty. The Heat ray blast is a nice extra and depending on how you place it in his mouth Godzilla can blast something on the ground or a closer closer to eye level. I hope there is a King Kong to go with this figure.

I picked this one up. Gorgeous classic Zilla.

I eagerly anticipate the 1956 poster deco.

Does he make a "crunkle-crunkle" sound, when you move his arms up and down (as if he's flapping them like wings)? LOL!

Sorry...movie reference joke (a bad one, but still).
