    RIP Daryl Dragon of Captain and Tennille

    Daryl Dragon, one half of popular ’70s duo The Captain & Tennille, died Wednesday, according to his publicist Harlan Boll. He was 76.

    RIP to the Captain. Captain & Tennille had a variety show for one season, it had good ratings, but they did not want to keep doing tv, so they could spend more time on music. I really liked that show as a kid. I wish someone would rerun it.

        sad news. I never knew he was in the Beach Boys either. sad that after all those years together they had divorced a few years back

                Didn't they just divorce over insurance purposes, so he'd get more coverage for his medical issues? That's what I heard at the time.

                    I half remember back in the 80's after their decline, stories about him beating her up and stuff.

                    Back then though, the wife abuse story was linked to a lot of celebs in the 80's including David Soul, Sonny Bono, Ike Turner etc … I kinda remember reading even Farrah talking about getting whacked by Lee Majors a few times.
