Mego of the Day: Goldie Hawk

Our Mego of the day is blonde bombshell (literally) Goldie Hawk from the Eagle Force. Neat Mego Fact: Goldie switched teams when she went to Europe becoming an agent of R.I.O.T, badguy "Nemesis" became a good guy.

I loved her on Laugh-In, and Overboard was pretty fun....what. Oh. Never mind.

Seriously, I think these guys are pretty cool. It seems like Mego had to be thinking along the same lines as Hasbro with their GI Joe:RAH at the same time.

What I have been told is that Mego knew Hasbro was set to release a new version of Joe and decided to go with something in the style of Britains figures. Eagle Force has really great packaging, Paul Kirchner did a great job with the line.

She does rival CAH Wonder Woman in looks, but WW is still the man-beastliest.

I agree I had 5 or 6 as a kid and loved them. My kids now are fascinated with them especially being dicast.

                  Hmmmm....

I ALMOST loved these guys when I was a kid. They're neat, but most of them couldn't hold their weapons. The vehicles rocked, as did the mountain base. Some day I'd like to do 8" ones. (As I recall, someone here DID do an 8" Eagle Force custom a LONG time ago.)

                    She "switched teams", huh?
I thought she looked a little butch.

Dolly Parton would consider her chest a bit much.
“As human beings we all want to be happy and free from misery… we have learned that the key to happiness is inner peace. The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, fear and suspicion, while love and compassion and a sense of universal responsibility are the sources of peace and happiness.” - The Dalai Lama

I will admit to finding this figure attractive as a kid.
