Can anyone identify this? Mego original or custom made?

Another question, found this item in the same lot as the pins... It has all the markings and matches the Mego Spock head exactly.
Could this have been an original sculpting or just a nice copy?

    A very, very nice copy.
Check out the stray seam running down the back of the head, along the neck.
Also, all of the little airholes on the head, especially the neck plug.
All very indicative of a resin copy.
    Nice piece nonetheless.

That all makes a lot of sense, thank you for the response!

Is there any value to this thing?

Spock heads are very common and EMCE toys did rotocast reproductions so I do not see a resin copy having much value

Yeah, Spock really is one of the most common of all the Mego heads, so there are a lot of them out there. This piece does look like a nice, homemade resin copy rather than any kind of pre-production piece. The only value it would have would be whatever it's worth to the buyer. This would definitely not be an investment piece. It is still kind of cool, but I personally wouldn't pay the cost of shipping to own it.
Nostalgia just ain’t what it used to be.

Thanks guys. I didn't have much expectation, so if it sells at all, I'll be pleased!
