Russell Crowe as Maximus Decimus Meridius - "The Spaniard" Version

Ok Kids - tonight I give you Russell Crowe as Maximus Decimus Meridius in 1 of my top 5 favorite movies of all time Gladiator!

    This is the "Spaniard" version
I was working on the Gladiator version for a while now - but just can't get it right yet.
So I took a little break to get this one done first and I'll finish up the other version somewhere down the line.

Thanks to Black Knight - He made & painted the head for me.
I have to hit up Toyroom to get a cardbacker made for him.

All the rest I did by hand Cut and stitched the leather together - and added the buckles and trim etc.
    Thanks for looking! Enjoy!

Outstanding looking figure. I'm totally impressed with the craftsmanship here. He's a pleasure to behold.

Even, I was going to voice a minor quibble about the lace-up boots... but then I found some pictures of Crowe where you can see his feet, and sure enough, they are lace-up boots very similar to that. So, I guess it is officially great from head to toe! :grin

Yes - I honestly did not want to go with the boots, at some point I will try to make a pair of leather ones to up grade these so they at least have that ruff loosely made effect like in the movie.

I tend to like the use/look of leather on Megos; adds some mass, texture, and a little realism. Great work on all those details and congrats on knocking this one out!

I agree with you - especially on this one - It had to be leather to look authentic. If I used anything else I don't think it would have looked as good or as realistic
