FLASH vs. ARROW---what did you think?

    ::::::::SPOILERS, SO BE WARNED!!::::::::

OK. So we got our first part of the the FLASH/ARROW crossover and I can honestly say I enjoyed it; it felt just comic booky enough to me to appeal to the little kid in me. Unlike some crossovers that shows have done, it didn't feel forced; there was a welcome synergy to the two teams meeting as well as a healthy dash of humor. I laffed my butt off at Diggle's reaction to the Flash's speed and, yeah, ogled appropriately as poor Felicity literally lost the shirt off her back! I also loved the little digs at giving villains their names and Ollie's reaction thereto. I enjoyed the fight between them as well and thought they handled it with as much "real world" gravitas as possible.

I am intrigued by the woman Ollie ran into and Felicity asking Caitlin for help in tracking down Sara's killer almost ensures another crossover down the road.

I liked the fact that Wells figured out that Ollie was the Arrow, proving that perhaps Quentin Lance isn't as good a detective as he thought he was! LOL!

Oh, and it was nice to see what I presumed to be a brief cameo by Firestorm? One can only presume that when he somehow fuses with Professor Stein, the character will gain more stability and can become a hero as opposed to a villain.

    What'd y'all think?
sigpic Oh then, what's this? Big flashy lighty thing, that's what brought me here! Big flashy lighty things have got me written all over them. Not actually. But give me time. And a crayon.

I'm going on record now... this crossover event will be a better Superman v Batman then the upcoming movie. The bad guy might as well have been called "Red Kryptonite Eyes." Loved it. I can't wait for the second part.

It was great fun, and very comic booky. Only part I thought was a waste of time and completely ridiculous was when Ollie had Barry meet him for training. I think the next part tomorrow night will be even better.

Wells does have access to future information that Lance does not. I get the impression that deep down, Lance knows, but is keeping it to himself.

          MORE SPOILERS!!!

Loved it. The actual fight was VERY well done. Time and perhaps talent has let them surpass the "slow-motion because we can't do any better " fights on Smallville. When Flash was pummeling Arrow at super-speed it looked like a 1,000 comic panels I had seen before. Awesome.

The two casts did indeed mesh very well. I'm still not caught up on Arrow, but I didn't have any problem jumping right back in with the crew here.

          Tonight...Captain Boomerang!!!

Absolutely loved the first part and looking forward to its conclusion tonight. The Flash continues its reign as my favorite show of the season.

The only thing that would make it better would be to have Green Lantern involved in the mix. What a three-some that would be. Great shows and am loving them.

Yeah, having Hal Jordan show up would be pretty cool, but in the meantime, it looks like The Atom may be popping up sooner or later. And is it just me or is Brandon Routh just a total scene stealer when he's on? LOL!

My only other wish is that TPTB could find a way of making the universe that The Flash and Arrow inhabit be the SAME universe that the Winchester boys live in. Now THAT would be a crossover, baby!

Part two was good, but not as fun as part one. That may just be me, as I've not followed Arrow close for two seasons. After I get caught up, I may think differently. Still a lot of fun in-jokes everywhere.

I liked both episodes. Seemed just like a good comic book 2-part team-up. Loved the "brave and the bold" reference. Can't wait to see Firestorm and the Atom.

I've only seen the first part so far, but I really liked it. The 10 year old inside of me put a big grin on my face during their fight scene.

I'm in sort of the same boat, part two of the crossover prompted me to watch Arrow for the first time since season one. Arrow has a Gotham-esque, darker tone to it, The Flash and his team brought a little "light" with them to Starling City with their style of fun and humor. Lots of Easter egg references and all-in-all a well done crossover.

Both nights were fun to watch. Definitely like a super-sized comic book brought to life. Did anyone else visualize the Green Arrow Car in their head when he was asking Felicity to see the "Arrow cave" and did they have an "Arrow mobile"?
                          It's all good!

I waited to watch them back 2 back last night via dvr. Totally enjoyed both and they were fairly seemless yet each show took on the vibe of it's star. Another look into Ollie's past explained why he does do some of things he does. He understands that sometimes negotiation has to be a one side affair. Loved the fight scene too.

Loved the teamup shows, it was really done as a true comic book style and not as a 'special guest star' episode. They all truly seem to live in one universe.
Now I want more heroes so we can see more of this. I'd love to see Arsenal, Black Canary or Huntress in Central City, or Ollie have to take on a meta like Weather Wizard.
I did think Captain Boomerang was a little too dark for being a Flash villain, so I guess he's the Arrow's foe from now on. And he's no longer an Aussie is he?
