When I picked up FTC's Aquaman I literally had a flash back to when I was a child. FTC may have its flaws but they are doing something right. Aquaman is spot on, the A is a little improved. By the way, I did not get a extra A. Are these not coming with duplicate decals?

Now THIS is what collecting toys is all about to me. Thanks so much for posting this refreshing thread.Check out my website: Megozine Covers - Home -
We really do need more of this here. I love ovenmitt's posts as well where he talks about how he got each original Mego figure.
I remember I got Aquaman as a present from 'the tooth fairy'. Probably the most valuable tooth I ever lostComment

Aqualad & PNGwynne, I would LOVE for ALL THE NEW DC WGH to be from the FILMATION & SUPER FRIENDS Cartoons! I'd love Mera, Black Manta, Green Lantern, Evil Star, Sinestro, Aquaman's Green underwater villainess who's name escapes me, JLA, the Atom, Flash, Hawkman, Hawkgirl, The Legion of Doom, & ALL the villains & heroes from ALL the FILMATION & SUPER FRIENDS Cartoons! All the vehichles, Filmation Batmobile, red Batgirl Cycle, Green Catwoman Car, Yellow Joker Car, the Sea Horses, the Filmation Batman 66 & 77 THUGS & Henchmen, The Cool Cruel Mr. Freeze, ...........all of them! These would excite me more than any of the more detailed & big headed new serious sculpts that FTC has shown. I think the FILMATION & SUPER FRIENDS DC designs would be PERFECT for the Mego look, cloth costumes, rooted hair, parts-resuse & for simply designed 60s-80s FUN! The stuff they seem to be releasing as NEW looks more 90s oys versions of 70s Comic versions of Dc characters dressed up in cloth clothes.
FTC: a DC FILMATION & SUPERFRIENDS line would EMBODY the MEGO SPIRIT like nothing else! IMHO!Comment

I think a set that would make you (and me!) very happy has already been announced. It's supposed to be: Aquaman, Aqualad, Mera and an Aqua-villain (probably Black Manta). I do believe I am right about this, but it's hard to keep ALL the various news straight as there is so much of it scattered here and there in many different posts and threads.Type Two: The Mego body, not the disease.Comment

Without giving to much out before it's suppose to, I can easily say again Teen Titan Fans will be very happy in the up coming new year!Comment

Love it! If Mego would have been around in the early 80s they would have probably given us New Teen Titans figures based on George Perez designs. I have a feeling FTC will pick up right where Mego left off!Comment

I have never heard that before. If you find out or remember where you saw it, please let me (us) know as I'd love this line-up! I assume if this announcement was from FTC or The Farrow, or someone in the know. that Awualad would be on an 8" body....since we just got the 7" teen titan version?????Comment

My favorite Aquaman was the bearded, hook hand version. But I think that was a lot later than they are aiming for.

I found him a bit more intimidating in the 70's, really, when he wasn't borderline psychotic. He could tell the baddies they didn't bother him much because he'd had entire buildings dropped on him, and then show them just how a body and muscles honed to swim at deep depths worked on the surface. Arthur never needed to be toughened up; he was ruler of 75+% of the planet, and his army was everything that lived under the water. Superman should have been shaking in his red boots at this guy...Comment
