    Titans Live-Action Series

Warner Bros. TV is rapidly expanding its live-action DC Comics TV universe. This season, it is going from one to four primetime series, returning Arrow and freshmen The Flash, Gotham and Constantine, and already is prepping another major broadcast franchise with Supergirl. Now the studio is expanding the DC brand to cable drama with Titans, […]

Just imagine the ***-beating WB would be handing Disney if all of this connected. If the son of the Flying Graysons of Gotham appeared on Arrow as Teen Robin, was intro in BvS as Batman's former partner, now transitioning into Titans Nightwing and brings their Cyborg with him. It would be insane. Still remotely possible, but very unlikely. Disappointing, but this could be the best show of them all.

It would be fun if it all could be integrated, but then again trying to connect all those dots might bring unnecessary baggage.

I just hope each show is done well, and I do agree with you, a Nightwing show could be great, but I am apprehensive about the Titans aspect. But, Arrow has done a nice job of working in a ton of DC characters. But Starfire will be a challenge effects and story wise to me. It's pretty disappointing that Deathstroke will likely be off the table with the character involved in Arrow.

It's going to be interesting to see how many of these super hero shows do well in the ratings. They aren't as widespread as cowboys in the 50s and 60s and cops and detectives in the 70s, but they are getting there.

The biggest thing bothering me is who they're having writing this. I am getting the biggest sense of dread.

It would be nice if they could actually make those classic Titan outfits. But you know...YOU KNOW... they will turn it into a bunch of pretty boys running around in fashion jeans with a symbol on their designer jackets.

This could either be great...or a disaster. Wasn't there a Titans movie with this same premise of Robin-to-Nightwing bandied about just a few years back?

Honestly, WB really should develop the Titans as a film, and go with a Nightwing solo series with guest characters like on Arrow.

The film could use Dick Grayson or Tim Drake as Robin and have Nightwing on the tube. Robin is better known by the general public. With the DC movie-verse being separate from TV, it would open the doors for Wondergirl and Kid Flash
That might be closed on the small screen.

Tyler Hoechlin would be my choice as Nightwing. He's muscular but not huge like a body builder, which would fit an adult Grayson.

This is in development, and what has DC done...gotten rid of Nightwing. Now that is synergy.

Sometimes I think the Anti-Monitor or Mxyptlyk is running WB and DC.

What do you want to bet that was actually a requirement before moving on the live-action?

Removing a character from one medium was actually a common practice as it was seen as competition or a creative impediment.

And slowly, ever slowly, WBTV wakes up to the possbilities...

Now CW President, Mark Pedowitz, says while The Flash and Arrow will not cross over with the likes of NBC's Constantine or Fox's Gotham, there are talks between his network and TNT.

"What you’ll see embedded in Flash and Arrow is that we’ll have the ability to test characters out. Is there room to grow them into the next show? I cannot tell you yet. There are discussions going on,” he said, reports AdWeek.com.
That's biz speak for credits. The Arrow/Flash producers may want a credit on Titans as connecting it to their shows makes Titans an arguable spin-off. That adds to Titans bottom line, especially if they're brought on in some type of exec producer status. I think WB will make it happen and just eat the costs because it's a boon for both channels. If you're WB, it's pure gold to eventually move Arrow/Flash to TNT where you can run all three shows over three nights.
