If I could time travel to buy it now, I would. That's how bought it is.

on Amazon it lists as a limited edition bluray set for $188.00. are they only doing a limited run? and that price is pretty steep, IMHO

Not really...it takes a LOT of work to remaster 50 year old source material for HD. I would imagine they did a frame by frame restoration of all 120 episodes like Paramount did with Star Trek, and the results will be stunning.

If the Big Bang Theory continues, I could see a story with Sheldon obsessively waiting for the Batman TV DVD release. Which ever way it would be written would be extremely funny.

I'm beyond stoked for these, but I will admit, the packaging seems a bit phoned in. As a graphic design guy, I can't help but think this.

I'm pretty sure the DVD cover is a colorized black and white photo. Look at Batman's cowl, and their skin tones.

Not trying to be nitpicky, but I saw tons of fan-packaging that left these in the dust.

There's something off entirely about Adam West's face on that DVD cover....

Burt has the early, non-leathery gloves from the pilot on both covers, and Adam has on the early version of the cowl from the first several episodes on the DVD cover. It was modified so he would have somewhat better visibility.

I see what you're saying. I don't associate '66 with Christmas Red. I think of that green in the opening title card , or an off neon.
