    Dick Grayson--Mocha or Flesh tone

It's recently been brought to my attention by Blue Meanie that Tricky Dicky Grayson may have been released without a mocha tone. I've searched the forums and that's why I'm posting (I may have phrased the questions wrong). The one in the gallery definiitely looks mocha to me. Thank you.

He is a tough one to tell (for me anyway) - I know you can trust Blue Meanie - he is a great guy and very knowledgeable. The one I have is not as mocha as Bruce and Clark (I don't have Peter). The copyright is there but very faint.

BTW - if you can afford it - go for it - since they do not show up very often (especially from a reputable person). I regret not getting Peter when he was around many years back.

Thanks. I trust Blue Meanie, just this is the first I've heard about it. My friend in Canada said that he'd seen them fade if exposed to the sun too long, but that they also come in mocha. It's also the first I've heard about the copyright info being visible. I gather it's faint like type 1 Superman heads. Blue Meanie told me that Toyman Chris had a brand new one right out of the mailer and that the copyright info could be seen on it as well. He also said Hobub would be the goto person on this subject. Ignignokt calling Hobub. Come in Hobub... I'll PM him later.

My set was featured on Toy Hunter. I bought it from Luey (here on the forums) Blue Meanie has seen it in person. Non mocha and stamped date. It is a minty set fresh out of the mailer box.

I think I missed that episode Chris - is it a new one??

I think Hobub (Len) will help with this too - but I think it is a good one to get ignignokt

Sounds like a good one. It must be an upcoming episode because I would have remembered it. Well, it all sounds good to me. Is there anyway we can have them update the info in the WGSH gallery? I also want to hear if anyone has one that's mocha and whether they have copyright info.

It's bizarre. It makes me think they had some leftover RM heads and decided not to paint the masks on them for some reason. They shipped out all they had when the Secret Identity line was released and then cast new mocha heads w/out copyright info to fulfill the rest of the orders. The other possibility is that the batch of vinyl they used for the Secret Identities just isn't as noticeable on Dick Grayson.

Unfortunately I didn't. I made a counter offer because of the clothes and neck scar. I'm sure whoever it was will be happy. Out of curiosity, what is the going price of a mint Dick Grayson? I've been told $800, but I think it's closer to $1000.

Probably close to or exceeding $1000. Don't feel bad yours will come along. I did not buy a Peter Parker for similar reasons . I tend to be a bit particular and certain things would bother me and I would be looking to upgrade. It was just not meant to be

It's the 28K WW episode, Huckabone was looking at the set in my booth... Yeah this set was from original owner and right out of the shipping box, Brian has been meaning to update the info on here but some did get released with dates on the neck, this is why Huckabone wanted the set that was on Toy Hunter Not sure if it's rarer to find or not much up on the colors but 100% original and the nicest set I have ever seen, still haunts me I sold it, Chris caught me when I was weak!

I paid $1100 for mine and I thought it was a steal... As mint as you can get loose. Wound up in an e bay shenanigans auction re listed and the owner finally said he had had enough of it and wanted to be rid of it. Sorry you didn't get it. Blue Meany sells QUALITY Stuff at great prices.

The Blue Meanie is awesome. It was one of those things where I just wanted to buy it no matter what, but my left brain took over.

@ josephcardone: Was it MegoSpidey's Peter Parker? He's not perfect, but he's my favorite in my collection. The thread pulls aren't as noticable as they were in the pics. Actually I was satisfied with Meanies Grayson, I was just thinking a slightly different price and the Walrus lost to the Eggman--coo coo ca choo.

I'll have watch that one again. I've seen it twice, but I wasn't paying attention to the background so much. I think that was the episode where he asked a dealer what the asking price was for a set of Alter Egos and he replied $3500?
