I'm really digging these store display shots I found in a Kenner promo piece for the Bionic Man. I honestly remember the outfit display as a kid, which had no effect. I had a million Big Jim and GI joe outfits as a kid but had no desire to change Steve Austin's clothes.




Fashions for the Bionic Woman make so much sense, I imagine they sold very well.

I'm pretty sure our local Ben Franklin had one the SMDM display like this. Probably why I got a "Mission to Mars" outfit at some point. Man, I LOVED that red visor, for some reason!

I passed on a Steve one a couple years ago and am still kicking myself.

I sold a set of four of these outfits (on perfect cards) to an American buyer at a convention last year.
He proceeded to rip them all of the cards in front of me and handed me back the packaging. I know they were his now, but it still felt odd after having had them in the collection for over 20 years.
At least his bionic men will be dressed nicely!

I have some of Jaime Sommers fashions. As a kid I only had "Lunch Date" and "Red Dazzle". Now I have "Red Dazzle", "Peach Dream", "Lime Delight" and only the dress from "Gold Dust".

For Steve, all I have is the shorts set that came w/ the mission arms and legs, and the jacket, watch and shoes from the denim outfit.

Awesome displays. I would love to own either or both of them.

I have all three of Steve's outfits mint in package. I also have the OSI Undercover outfit loose (minus the watch) that I have one of my Steves displayed in. I would eventually like to get loose versions of the other two so I can display all three. Ironically, the other two were the only ones I had as a kid.

I have two of Jaime's outfits mint in package ("Red Dazzle" and "Lime Lite") that I got for a reasonable price. (I also have a loose "Lunch Date" outfit that I have on one of my Fembots.) I bid on others on eBay quite often but they always end up going for way more than I want to pay. Just a few weeks ago there were a few that sold for $51, $102 and $130!! I would like to get a few more eventually though.

I had a SMDM but have no memory of ever seeing the outfits in the store.
