Interesting. Thanks for the review. Y'know, I really miss your toy box reviews on Satuday mornings."Do you believe, you believe in magic?
'Cos I believe, I believe that I do,
Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."Comment

Hey Jim,
On my FTC's I managed to grab the twist tie after cutting and with a little jiggling and bending managed to pull them out of the existing holes without making extra slits. Takes a bit of twisting and turning but it worked for me.
Great review.

Thank you Dave. My hope is to help spread the good news of the Great work that you and Craig have done. You guys have done something very special and admirable here and deserve all the props you can get. Plus you have created a body that I will be trading out on all of my daughters Mego's and Re-Megos. You just wait till I get my paws on one of the new Action Jackson's when you guys get them out on the street.Comment

Nice review Jim!
But what happens to the old bodies....Hmmm....?“When you say “It’s hard”, it actually means “I’m not strong enough to fight for it”. Stop saying its hard. Think positive!”Comment

Great job, Jim! That Robin head looked like it went into the new body with such ease! AND, the hands could be withdrawn without warming the plastic? That is great!Comment

The bands were so tight that the metal hook pulled through the left shoulder. The plastic used on the FTC bodies are light weight but not a bad quality i.e. not fragile like their bodies of old. Looking and lurking around it seems that the Robin's are more inclined to have this problem than the other figures for some reason. Or it may be that they are just more noticeable because there's no sleeve to hold them in place in the package. Still I fully support the line. While I am not a fan of a "broke" toy, I do believe those issues will be addressed (if they haven't already).Comment

After having bad results trying to put the Mattel Batman onto a S-Type body, I decided to pull my FTC Robin out and give it a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the results! I feel like the shoes are a bit loose on the FTC body; maybe they are a little more loose on the S-Type body, but not enough to make a difference to me. The head is actually tight on mine; it will not easily come out. That was a worry from the things I had read. My gloves are also loose; Robin's left glove came off after I put in back into his clamshell. I wonder if I go with the grabbing hands if that will help keep the gloves in place better? Trucks, tunic and belt all went on perfectly! He looks great!
I then put the Mattel Batman on the FTC body... ugh! The Mattel Batman doesn't seem to fit any other body very well, thanks to the belt and low riding trucks.Comment

I still don't think FTC should get a pass for putting out inferior bodies. They should have learned those lessons long ago. That being said, their stuff so far LOOKS very nice, and it's awesome that we have the new CAT body to swap them onto.
This was fun, and very informative!

I wouldn't say I've giving them a full on pass but I am cutting them some slack due to the improvements. And I do believe they are going to fix the band issue. That is the real problem. The bodies themselves are actually pretty solid compared to the former HUGE gaffe. It's light but not brittle and if not for the super tight band the pull through of the hooks would be a non issue.Comment
