    Sesame Street playset!

What a FIND at the GoodWill! Saw this poor devil sitting in the corner, covered in rancid stuffed toys and crap. I did a search on E-Bay, couldnt find this one, though it looks to be a counterpart to the Building Playset. (Little People)

    Now, the SAD part...

Its pretty well stripped, and its in lousy shape. It looks as though it was stored in a barn, there is dirt and dust everywhere...all of those cracks and crevices. I was just going to toss the whole thing into a tub of hot soap/bleach water and grab a few toothbrushes, but I'm afraid (whats left...) of the stickers will peel away. This set looks SO neat, I dont know how I missed it as a kid...I had the Barn and the awesome Castle...great stuff.

If anyone wants to SEE this poor sad, broken-down version of Hooper's Store and the corner basketball lot, I'll grab some shots...its in the trunk of my car at the moment...

VERY sad for me to see such a GREAT toy lost to the years.....like the time I found HALF of a Krusher at a yard sale, and my wife finding an Imperial 13" Godzilla missing his TAIL later that day...

    Sesame Street

I think I have one of these. Is it the Fisher Price version? These are a rare find. How did the cleanup process go?

I had the fisher price as well. Loved it. I have to face it that I will never have any classic toys unless I find them in Mexico.

              I love Sesame!!! OH YES!

Fisher Price, Knickerbocker and Child Guidance all made Sesame toys in our era. Good times!

I'm not sure if our original one will make it to the next gen. It got dropped awhile ago and busted the handle off. :(
                    But.... we have backups!!!

The part that is hardest to replace are the Old Skool shows. There is hardly any classic content on the modern SS show. I have been nabbing scenes and bits from various youtoobish sites and we have pretty much worn out the SS Old School dvds. Hopefully our homemade DVDs will make it long enough to transfer to the next generation of data devices. Maybe there will be a special classic SS section in the cloud. A little bit of 70s Sesame heaven. One can hope.

Yes my niece plays with ours and its on the second generation. I got for Christmas in 1976 and it has lasted all these years along with alot of other fisher price toys. I used to spend hours playing with that playset!
