    Superhero cake pan

Was at this flea market shop this morning and saw this box with superman and batman on it. Turned out to be a Cakepan setup with everything in it, 99% sure unused, instructions, pan, batman and supermans head mold and colored superman and batman logos. The box is not mint but not trashed by anymeans either. Year said 1977 on the side made by the Wilton company.
Just wondering if this was anything collectable. Thanks for reading.

Those seem to pop up quite a bit but I don't recall ever seeing the original box....

Box was flimsy, little faded, wrinkles wanted 6.00 bucks for it.

That doesn't sound bad. I've seen the box before, and it's pretty neat. I have a Superman pan from the 90s and I think they used the same mold but altered it to be strictly Superman with his face and the "S" shield on the chest. I have a Batman one that was all new from that era as well.

Wilton's made a Wonder Woman pan like that at the same time.

I should have taken a pic of it, I was gonna but was in a hurry. maybe I'll snap one tomorrow. The logos alone were cool, cause they were in color.

I would have bought it. My wife got the Superman set (sold alone) and made the cake for me for one of my birthdays. It turned out pretty cool.

I have the Batman face and chest symbol but not the cake pan. I got it from my first gf's mom about 15 years ago. She used to have the pan, Superman and Batman parts but all she had left were the Batman pieces.

We had this when I was little. I had birthdays two different years with Batman and Superman themes, respectively. I think we sold it in a yard sale later, but I sure wish it had been kept.

Now that I think about it, I think the 90s Superman cake pan came with a face to put on the cake too, even though you really didn't need it.

$6 bucks is a great price. We have the Wonder Woman and the Batman/Superman sets. I paid $15 a set unopened flimsy boxes. Here's the a couple of pics of the Wonder Woman cake we made for my daughter's 1st B-day last summer and her enjoying it.

In 1979, I had a "Batman" cake from that line/set. That same day I received a Mego Spider-Man diecast figure.

You can't go wrong for 6 bucks, as long as you can still make a yummy cale with it.

I love the character cake pans and would love to pick them up someday. Were these made by Wilton? I have the Wilton Darth Vader pan and am trying to get the rest of the Star Wars characters they made. It would be great to find the superhero ones with the face pieces, but I find them a little creepy. I think I'd keep the pieces separate and just draw the features on myself.
