    Japanese Toys are Classic TOO!

Thought I'd share a partial picture show of my collection of Japanese toys with the group (you should see the closet!). Take a peek at my Flickr link.

Toys - Japanese Vintage Figures - a set on Flickr

My Japanese vinyl collection is most decidely on hold though with the Japanese Yen at 82 yen per dollar. COME ON US DOLLAR FIGHT-O!!

Anyone out there collecting either Japanese vinyls, diecast or even a different vein of Classic toys? (apologies if this topic has already been covered)

Awesome collection. It's great seeing japanese toys get some more love around here.

And are those Astro-Mu bootlegs? As if originals aren't hard enough to come by.

Thanks stretch. Those are the real deal; took a long time to piece them together even before Astro Mu mania hit. I also have the villain in the box...takes up too much real estate in the case though.

Oh wow, that's a fantastic collection. I'd love to start collecting vintage (60's and 70's) vinyls like that, especially kaiju, Kamen Rider, Inazuman, Devilman and giant robots. I always drool at the ones in the display cases at vintage toy stores in Japan. But that's an expensive road to go down, and I collect enough as it is. Maybe if I win the lottery. . Right now I just have some 80's and 90's Yamakatsu and Bandai kaiju vinyls. You have some really great pieces in there, I especially like the missile firing Mechagodzilla vinyl. I've had my eye on that one (and the larger version) for years, but I've almost given up finding nice, complete ones at a not insane price. Thanks for sharing!

ahh, ok. Now that I look at the ads I see they are the actual astro-mu, but I thought their heads were different, like painted or something. I'd love to collect them at some point, but they just don't come around very often now do they. Have you ever seen the astro-mu knock-offs? I know at least a few of them exist.

I'd like that Astro Mu jumbo as shown in that catalogue shot.

That is an awesome collection! Gotta see what's in that closet!

I too love Japanese toys ranging from vinyl to diecast and vintage to modern. I saw so many of my favorite characters in your collection.

Hope to see more of your pics soon, pepi.

Nice Shots J.B. I've been tempted to start collecting the newer stuff but my wallet says NO!
