How rare is the Captain Action Buck Rogers set?

so the super heroes are all pretty common on ebay, even Spidey but I rarely see Buck Rogers. Just how rare is this set?

Buck is the rarest, and is becoming as prized as Spidey and Hornet.

As someone who has been intensely collecting Captain Action for the past 2.5 years, high quality Buck items appear more rarely than any other CA costume items.

Yep, I rarely see any BR items out there. Spidey and Green Hornet shows up monthly with bits and pieces, but the buck stops at Buck. Interestingly, the Tonto set seems to show up quite often and it is in the last batch of Ideal releases as well.

so I have been dabbling in collecting CA for about 18 months, mostly superheroes but I am always on the lookout for good deals on the other sets....i stumbled across and won this action on the bay

recieved it today. it is in great shape, no runs, tears etc in the suit. accessories need a cleaningbut that is all....

now anyone have a mask and helmet they don't need for this set? LOL

Great Purchasing,
keep the rocket tank away from the vinyl belts they melt them.
one of the problems with BR is that all the accessories attach to the vinyl belt and harness,
and melts quickely like the canteen and pistol

hi i have a Buck mask in great shape if your interested ,its soft and non shrunk , masks and belts tend to shrink and go hard over time ,let me know if your interested cheers chris

I bid on a complete minty Buck a couple of months ago (and lost!) that ended up going for around $450, IIRC. I was a really nice example, but I couldn't justify that much for a non-superhero figure. It was actually a decent price, though, given the relative scarcity of that set.
