    Conversation FunTube Socks

I'm not denying that comical tube socks can't start conversations, what I'm wondering is what really the quality of that conversation would be:
    Man 1" Hey neat socks!"
Sock Man " h'yuck, yeah I got them in a catalog"
    Ackward Silence
    Man 1 "well, bye"

      Wow...........that's Seventies.

Anyone wear tube socks with superheroes on 'em? I had DC ones that used some of the Mego art, at least the Joker image.

My mom would have vetoed these, (although my older sis in high school or college at that time would have worn these.). Mom wouldn't even lemme have Fonzie socks.

I guess there weren't enough reasons for some poor kid to be beat up at school because of the way he dressed. They needed these as well.

                I had Spider-man ones.

I find it odd that there's a Disney one in there when the rest seem inspired by Mad or Laugh-In...seems out of place. Especially being Christmas socks as well.

So what you're saying is that you're insanely jealous of this little princess' stockings?

OMG! That's an awesome pic! Yes, I'm jealous. I have those socks NOW, (in yellow and blue like the little girl shown). Too bad my calves make Fonzie look like he's gained 200 lbs.! Needless to say I don't wear them. (If they fit right, you know I would!)

As an aside, I love the 70s-ness of this photo; the enclyclopedias, (there are a set in my living room bookshelf, though not the same), the portable TV, the Uncle Sam bank, and yes, those dang Fonzie socks!
