    Nasta Toys for 1980

We have a new company listing into the Gallery of Racktoys today with the addition of NASTA

Like a lot of it's counterparts in the late 1970/early 1980s, Nasta was rack toy manufacturer creating products based on the DC and Marvel Superheroes brands, Barbie and Hanna Barberra characters.
What sets them apart are their products, for the most part Nasta sold oddball items like Sunglasses, Sandals and Ice Pop makers. Some very non traditional licensed items that will put a smile on your face.

Those sunglasses were everywhere back in the day. I still remember the big cardboard displays with oodles of them thrown in (unpackaged) that Tops in Toys had in their stores.

There was a great store in down town Toronto called "Funorama" in the 1990s, that I pretty much haunted. He had whole displays of the Nasta superhero stuff in there, I always think of that place when I see it.

Man, I loved those Spidey sunglasses. I remember the Ben Franklin store in our town had a display of those right as you walked in the door for what seems like forever.

I had several of the other hero glasses too. I was such a sucker. A colorful pakcage and one lousy sticker made those products a must-have.

I still have the Super Friends Magnetic Target game (and I did send a pic to Rob, who posted it on the Shrine), and the Pacheese game. My Pacheese game is different, with the outer circles showing the logo (name) and symbol of each hero.

The line about Hulk and public showers cracked me up!
