    Godzilla VS Me

I got a new member to my expanding "toy family" a few weeks back and I couldn't be happier. This is the HG toys Godzilla figure from their awesome "Godzilla Vs the Tricephalon" playset released in 1979. I saw it in the back of Famous Monsters magazine as a kid and knew one day I would own it, this Zilla is the closest I have come to that goal.

My first surprise is that he's "HUGE", I was expecting him to be in "Green Army man" type scale and he sort of is, as he towers over them just like Godzilla should.

See? He's awesome, the plane and frightened person are also from the set, I won those in another auction.

Just for scale, that's a Mexican Mego Superman next to him. This guy is one serious lump of plastic (and old school toy love).

    One of these days boy....

I have the Tricephalon from that set. I was also surprised at how large the figure was. Now we just need to set up a play date so he can beat up Godzilla

Congrats on the cool Goji pickup, that's a nice looking figure. I've had my eye on that playset for a long time too. Wish it was a little easier to find.

HG Toys made some cool dress-up playsets when I was a kid. They had a kick arse He-Man set with sword, shield and bracelets.

Cool Godzilla. He actually looks right!

Congrats on finally getting the HG zilla!! The tricephalon sets used to show up on ebay (daily) about 7 years back (when I snagged it) and then it kind of trickled down to nothing showiing up at all. I still have my original HG zilla/tri figures and some pieces and now I have the actuial box set again with a nice condition zilla and tri. If I ever do decide to sell the extra figures, you will be the first ot know

I have a memory that I saw other HG toys godzilla playsets. I looked on Ebay for it and found LOTS of GI JOE toys. Is there a better way to search for HG toys?
