super hero glasses from 1976 the "moon" ones

what glasses are the rarest? and about how much should one pay for them?

I picked up a supergirl nice and mint for $18 over a year ago, and today I picked up the Flash for $10 also mint.

    Thanks

Coincidently, I just went through a phase of looking at them on eBay (can't buy yet).

The only info I can provide is that last week, I only saw one Green Lantern.

I'd love to have the whole set. Nice score on the Flash!

Not sure which ones are the rarest, but I usually see Green Lantern and Green Arrow sell for more than the rest.

I once saw a pic of the unproduced Catwoman.

I have a complete set. For me Batgirl, Riddler and Green Lantern were the toughest. As for price I have no idea. I've had my set for over 15 years.

I never knew she was proposed. Would love to see that.

I'd say GL is probably the rarer glass in the set and it usually goes around $25-$40.
There are a few DC prototype glasses out there. I saw a Batman last year go for around $500. If I remember right there's a Batman, WW, Catwoman and 5 different Superman prototypes out there. I'll try and post some pics in a bit.

I've yet to get Penguin and GL. I've picked up almost all of mine "in the wild" at antique malls and stores. It's a fun sideline to look for. Much easier to come across than say, Megos.

I once saw Penguin for $60 and passed. I don't think I've ever seen GL in person.

yeah the guy today at the flea market also had shazam, Penguin, wonder woman, and a couple aquaman. the shazam had some heavy rubs, the rest were pretty nice but I only had limited funds. it was hard to walk away with out them all ... but one is better than none. lol

I was like Chris in that it was a sideline project for me. I'd grab one here and there and before I knew I had them all.
Here's a pic of some of the prototypes front and back. I'm sure there are more out there than these.

I like them but can't bring myself to pay the ridiculous prices for them.

Very cool. I've never seen those pics before.

I usually can't walk into any flea market without seeing at least one. I recently bought a second Shazam for $3.00 and I use it.

I look for GL off and on, also the Joker one. The late 70s style Pepsi line were much crisper in style and more dynamic looking, especially my 'Robin the Teen Wonder' glass.

No pics available from me, but most of you collectors can probably remember the line I'm referring to..

I need to grab the Marvel ones as well.

                              Wow Tim that is awesome!!!

Just looking at them though, they remind me of the second series. Superman busting the chains was used on the 2nd series, and the small Robin figure is similar to the full size version used on his 2nd series glass.
