A Wretched Hive of Scum and Villainy

I didn't hear tell of the Sears exclusive Cantina playset until my adult years and I think the first time I've ever heard of "action figure variants" was this blue suited Snaggle Tooth.

Even though he's tall and I never had him as a kid, he's just one of those things that makes my nerdy little heart go pitter patter.....

Same here. I wonder if you actually got the vinyl caped Jawa with the two Sandpeople?

I still have the cardboard Cantina in minty condition. Stored flat all these years.. I bought it from my friend whose mom bought him ALL the stuff. One of the few Kenner items I still have...

I got the Sears Cantina AND the Death Star for Christmas '78. BLUE snaggletooth was the ONLY version of the character I ever knew! It wasn't until I was a collector/adult that I knew of the more common RED one!

Cool playsets, would've played with these till they were trashed

Interesting that they have Hammerhead and Walrus Man mislabeled as well.

my brother and I got the death star in 78 it was compeletely destryoed by 83. I bought a replacement a few years ago but it's put away till my son is older and I won't have to worry about it it was fragile in 77

Seeing this page this morning on Plaidstallions made me miss my old Death Star playset, man if I could go back in time and tell past me to take better care of that thing I would, guess I'm back to trolling the internet for a good looking one...

WOW! What a great page to wonder over.

One of my highlights of Star Wars collecting was getting a Blue Snaggletooth. Here in the UK he has the same stigma attached to him as Yak face does in the US.

I had almost everything Kenner put out but I never did get the cantina and blue snaggletooth. not for lack of trying mind you but back in those days it was not easy to find rare figures like that.

My best friend got that cantina set for xmas that year.
I got the regular set, along with the sandcrawler (got the death star later as an easter gift)

I was so jelious that he had that snaggletooth.
I finally got it from him about 8 years later, when we swapped some stuff

Ended up selling that, along will all my other Star Wars stuff back in 2002.
